Shannon Bourbonnais is a native French speaker with over 15 years of experience teaching French from Pre-Kindergarten to Grade 12 (AP French included) in leading schools in France, England and Vancouver. She has a Bachelor of Education, is a certified teacher, and has completed her Masters of Education in Language and Literacy at UBC, as well as her Early Childhood Education (ECE). She recently published her second French reader for children, and has authored French curriculum resources. She trains and mentors teachers from around the world.

Shannon was a full-time French teacher at York House School, until the birth of her twin daughters. While on leave, parents in the community approached her to run After School French Programs. When her daughters were of preschool age, she searched for a French Preschool in her Dunbar area, but didn't find any; therefore, she started her own. She continues to be involved with York House School, running an on-site After School French Program.

Shannon enjoys spending time with family and friends and creating community with those around her.
